Walsenburg sits where CO-69 meets I-25, at about 6,200 feet, with the Spanish Peaks standing southwest of town. Our shop is 25 miles northwest up CO-69 in Gardner, so delivery here is roughly half an hour of highway we drive every week anyway. We set cabins out toward Lathrop State Park west of town, up US-160 toward La Veta Pass, and on parcels off the county roads north and south. Wide loads are normal work for us. Before a cabin ever leaves the yard, we scout the last stretch to your site so there are no surprises at the gate.

Expect some form of county sign-off, yes. What exactly applies depends on how the cabin is classified, whether it is a park model RV or a modular on a foundation, and how you plan to use it. We are not the land use office and rules change, but we have been through this process in our home county and we help every buyer ask the right questions before ordering.
How fast can you deliver a cabin from Gardner to Walsenburg?
The drive itself is about half an hour down CO-69, so once your cabin is finished and your site is ready, delivery day is short. The real timeline is the build itself plus your site prep: access, a level pad or foundation, and utilities if you want them. We schedule delivery when both sides are ready, and we scout your access road first.
My land near Walsenburg only has a well and power at the road. Is that enough?
Often, yes. Many of the cabins we set in Huerfano County go to parcels with exactly that: a well or cistern, power nearby, and no other improvements.
