Portable cabins in Colorado Springs
Portable log cabins for Colorado Springs are built two hours south of the city at our shop in Gardner, then delivered up I-25 in one piece. The Springs is the biggest market we serve and the one where the land varies most: pine acreage in Black Forest at 7,300 feet, prairie parcels out east past Falcon and Peyton, and in-town lots where a guest cabin has to clear city rules first. We are not a kit company and we are not a builder who camps in your yard for a year. We build the whole cabin here, you get it finished, and the mess stays at our shop.
Black Forest, Falcon, and the eastern plains
El Paso County covers more than 2,100 square miles, and most of the cabin-friendly land is on its east side. Black Forest is large wooded lots at about 7,300 feet, where a log cabin looks like it grew there. Falcon and Peyton sit in the high 6,000s where the pines give way to prairie, and further out, Calhan, Ellicott, and Yoder are open rangeland where parcels run big and neighbors run few. We deliver to all of it. The common thread is owners who want a guest house, a rental, or a small home on land they already have.
Two hours up I-25, most of it easy miles
From Gardner we run CO-69 down to Walsenburg, then I-25 north through Pueblo to the Springs, about two hours of mostly interstate. For Black Forest and the plains communities we route around the city rather than through it where we can. City traffic is the least pleasant part of any Front Range delivery, so we plan those runs for the right time of day, and we walk your access before the cabin leaves the yard. A tight cul-de-sac or a low line is a solvable problem if we know about it early.
Snow load country, built accordingly
Black Forest sits higher than Colorado Springs proper, and anyone who was there for a March storm knows what wet spring snow does to a roof. Our cabins are built as real structures, not sheds with logs glued on: engineered roofs, spray foam insulation standard, and porches with decking that outlasts the weather. We build at 7,000 feet ourselves. Nothing about high-altitude sun, wind, or snow surprises us, because our own shop sits in it.

Can I put a guest cabin behind my house in Black Forest?
On many Black Forest lots the acreage is there, but whether the county allows a second dwelling unit, and what it must be classified as, depends on your zoning. We do not promise approvals. What we do is help you frame the question for El Paso County planning, then build whichever type, park model, modular, or skid, fits the answer you get.
How does delivery work to land east of Falcon or Peyton?
The plains are the easy part: open roads, few trees, long sight lines. From Gardner it is I-25 north and then east on the state highways, and the only real variables are your last miles of county road and the condition of your driveway after weather. We scout access first, and dry prairie roads almost always work fine for the truck.
Park model or modular for El Paso County land?
It depends on what your parcel is zoned for and how permanent you want the cabin to be. A park model is titled as an RV, which some situations allow and some do not. A modular set on a foundation is treated more like a house. Neither answer is universal in this county, so we sort it out parcel by parcel with you.
