Modern lines and a room you define yourself
The Buffalo River
The Buffalo River is a 13' by 39' portable cabin from our shop in Gardner, Colorado, and it's the one to pick if your taste runs modern. A low-slope roof trades the log-cabin profile for cleaner lines. Inside there's a bedroom with a closet, a full bathroom with a tub and shower, a kitchenette with dining and living space, a 6-foot covered front porch, and a multipurpose room you can order as laundry, a desk space, or bunks.

The multipurpose room
The Buffalo River's floor plan includes a room that's drawn as multipurpose on purpose. Order it as a laundry room, a desk space for working from the cabin, or a bunk room for extra sleepers; the choice gets settled on your drawing before the build starts. That one room is why the Buffalo River suits longer stays. A 13' by 39' cabin with a bedroom, a full bath with a tub and shower, and a dedicated spot for laundry or work stops feeling like a weekend cabin and starts feeling like a small house.
A different roofline
Most of our models lean rustic. The Buffalo River goes the other way, with a modern low-slope roof and cleaner lines. If your taste runs contemporary, or the cabin needs to sit next to a house that isn't a log home, this is the model that fits. Inside, the layout is straightforward: kitchenette, dining, and living space in the main room, a bedroom with a real closet, and a full bathroom with a tub and shower. A 6-foot covered front porch runs across the entry, built with the same lifetime decking we put on every model.
Planned around how you'll actually use it
Because the Buffalo River is our flexible floor plan, the drawing stage matters more here than on any other model. We sit down with what you actually need: where the washer goes, whether the desk needs a window. You approve the drawing, then we build to it with spray foam insulation and solid surface countertops as standard. Choose park model RV, modular, or skid construction based on where the cabin will sit and what your county wants to see. Built in Gardner, delivered across southern Colorado and the Front Range.

Buffalo River questions
What can the multipurpose room be set up as?
The three standard options are a laundry room, a desk area for working from the cabin, or a bunk room with extra beds. You pick when we draw your floor plan, and since the drawing gets your approval before the build, you can also bring us an idea that isn't on that list.
Is the Buffalo River big enough to live in full time?
At 13' by 39' with a real bedroom, a full bath with a tub and shower, and a dedicated laundry option, the floor plan covers what daily living needs. Whether you can legally live in it full time depends on your county and on which build type you order, so check locally before planning on it.
Why does the Buffalo River have a flat-looking roof?
It's a low-slope roof, and it's there for the look. The Buffalo River is our modern model, drawn for buyers who want a cabin without the traditional log profile. The lines stay clean and contemporary, and the cabin sits comfortably next to a conventional house or anywhere rustic would feel out of place.
How does the Buffalo River compare to the Stargazer?
Same 13' by 39' footprint, different personality. The Stargazer spends its space on a sleeping loft, a spiral staircase, and a rooftop deck; the Buffalo River spends it on a flexible multipurpose room and a modern roofline. If you host crowds, look at the Stargazer. If you want practical space you define yourself, this is the one.
